The Chronicles of Candle Cove was a 1980s action-adventure animated television series. It followed several pirate characters as they went on adventures. Despite being apparently well-received in its time, today, all of its episodes are lost.
Background and Production
Next to nothing is known about the production of TCoCC. The only things known with relative certainty are that it aired sometime in the 1980s.
The animation style was semi-realistic and similiar to that of cartoons like He-Man and Jem.
Synopsis
The series takes place in Candle Cove, a parallel world that resembles the Golden Age of Piracy.
The initial premise of the series was that Janice, a young girl from the real world, somehow gets transported into Candle Cove, and a pirate crew that finds her tries to help her find her way back home. One pirate, named Percy, regularly accompanies Janice.
Along the way, they go on adventures. As the series progresses, they seem to no longer be focussed on getting Janice home, and she appears to become a permanent member of the crew.
Each episode ended with either Janice or Percy writing in the ship's log about that day's adventure and explaining the lesson they learned from it.
